About the club

Creating a sense of community for Suffolk’s food and drink producers

Founded by Bella Scarr, The Food Producers Club has a simple mission: to bring together the great and good of the Suffolk food and drink community. After all, there’s strength in numbers and Suffolk has some of the finest food and drink producers, growers, chefs, restaurateurs and hotels in the country. Our aim is to bring them all together, gaining knowledge from experts, sharing experiences producer to producer, all whilst enjoying what we love most – food and drink!

No boring panel discussions or name badge networking events. We’ll be hosting lively and creative meet-ups for members to talk through the highs and lows of our brilliant industry. The FPC seeks to prove that collective strength propels individual success.

The club will champion the rich diversity and exceptional quality of Suffolk’s dynamic food and drink scene, and the huge wealth of knowledge harnessed by the businesses within it.

Suffolk has a really unique food and drink scene, attracting entrepreneurs from far and wide to put roots down here where producers can benefit from the full ecosystem that East Anglia has to offer. Whilst running the Aldeburgh Food & Drink Festival I have been lucky enough to meet chefs and farmers, makers and growers, and have spent the past few years hearing their stories and learning what could help their businesses most and what they wish they could access. The Food Producers Club hopes to nurture, develop and support the rich food and drink community that already exists, through fun and engaging events and a community platform.”

About Bella

Since 2021, Bella has been Executive Producer at the Aldeburgh Food & Drink Festival. Recently voted the UK’s number one food festival, Bella has spent the past few years garnering relationships with the food and drink world in Suffolk and beyond. Bella has brought a wealth of experience to her role, curating a diverse and exciting lineup of vendors, chefs and activities for festival-goers to enjoy. Her dedication to promoting sustainable food practices and supporting small-scale producers has been instrumental in shaping the festival’s ethos, making it a celebrated event within the food industry. Now Bella has set up The Food Producers Club to bring together the people she’s met, share the stories she’s heard, and encourage new collaborations, opportunities and connections within this great community.
